Title: A Tour of the Dark Universe

Abstract:
Normal matter makes up just a small percentage of the total energy in the Universe today and the rest is dark matter and dark energy. In this talk I will present a tour of the dark Universe; showing the evidence of its existence, its effect on structure formation, and the implications for the fate of our Universe.

Luke Jew is a post doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford and a member of the C-BASS collaboration. He obtained hist PhD from the University of Oxford in 2017. The current focus of his work is on developing and improving the C-BASS data-reduction pipeline, using the C-BASS sky maps in conjunction with other data sets to study the properties of diffuse Galactic emission with the aim of better subtracting it from CMB maps and developing the science case for future
low-frequency CMB observations.
