CHPC Lecturers: 2019 AVN DARA Training

Dr Andrew Gill (AG): Andrew Gill completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch (US) in 2012, specialising in the aerodynamics of turbomachinery. During this time, he acted as the lab engineer for the subscale testing in Project Future, an international research project including industry partners such as Volvo Aerospace and Rolls Royce. In 2013, he began a 2-year post doctorate at the Center for High Performance Computing (CHPC), after which he was appointed to his present position as a research scientist in the field of computational mechanics at that institution.

Dr Krishna Govender (KG): Dr Govender is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for High Performance Computing (CHPC). He is specialised in Computational Chemistry and Material Science. He is also a Research Associate within the Chemistry Department at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). |
